This year for Halloween Micah wanted to be War Machine from Iron Man 2. Caleb told us he wanted to be Buzz Lightyear. Micah was pretty excited, and Caleb was too…or so we thought. We had gotten invited to a Halloween party, and we were all getting ready. I was getting Caleb’s costume on him when he all of a sudden decided he didn’t want to dress up. “My just want to be Caleb,” is what he told us. OK, then. We went to the party dressed as a Jedi, Pippi Longstocking, War Machine, and Caleb.
Fast forward to the Friday before Halloween. Ballard has a big Fall Carnival every year. They let the kids out at noon so they can go home, eat lunch, and change into their costumes. Susan brought Caleb up to Ballard so that he could enjoy the fun as well. I got myself and Micah dressed in our costumes, but again Caleb decided he just wanted to be Caleb. That’s ok. The entire school lines up and walks in a parade around the neighborhood. It’s really a lot of fun. Micah of course was at the head of the pack with his teacher, Mrs. Carlson, who was dressed as the Tooth Fairy.
The boys had fun playing all of the games. Somehow, I didn’t get any pictures of Caleb.
The next day, John and I went to another Halloween party. We had a really good time.
On Halloween, our church had a Fall Festival. Caleb once again decided he didn’t want to wear his costume. But the clothes he was wearing looked western, so we used a cowboy hat and stick horse. Now he was a cowboy! The girls came with us, and afterward we went trick or treating.
Halloween was fun!
